Making the Most of Topdown Charts
How to use the reports to save time, avoid hidden risks, gain perspective, and make better investment decisions... (video walkthrough of the reports)
The Topdown Charts entry-level service is designed for investors who are struggling to find good objective insights to help keep on top of the macro-market pulse.
The entry-level service draws from our institutional service (which is used by some of the world’s largest investment firms). This video walks through the reports in the entry-level service: what’s in them, how to read (and apply), and basically how to make the most of the service…

More about the service…
The intent with these reports was to create something that condenses down what we do with the full service, to provide a highly useful entry-level experience for:
People who are time poor: they just want the key points
but they don’t want to miss emerging themes and ideas
and/or don’t have the institutional budget
and who want a selection of charts that capture critical issues, but also want the context, the conclusion — the “so what?“
While this is a condensed down version, and an entry-level service, it probably will be a level above pure retail — and it will likely appeal most to financial advisors, investment professionals, and serious investors.
What you get:
Weekly Insights Report (see samples below)
Monthly Asset Allocation Review
Full access to the report archives
Ability to post comments/questions
Key Benefits:
[Better Investment Decisions] Get onto emerging risks + opportunities
[Perspective] Stay informed on macro trends, market developments
[Access] Exclusive charts with a clear “so what?“
It’s like having an investment strategist in your corner, helping you stay on top of macro and markets — pointing out critical risks and opportunities so you can save time and get ahead in your investment goals.
What next?
If this sounds like what you’ve been looking for, the best thing is to get an annual subscription as it works out to be the cheapest ($350/year).
If you need more info first, check out this longer post outlining the service, but also take a chance to familiarize yourself with the unlocked sample reports below:
(unlocked) Edition 39 of the Weekly Insights Report
(unlocked) Edition 40 of the Weekly Insights Report
(unlocked) Monthly Asset Allocation Review - December 2021
If in doubt, don’t think about the question “what if I don’t use it?“ — the real question should be “what if I don’t have access to it in the first place?“
… it’s better to have access to a service like this and not end up using every single snippet than to not have access and end up missing a major risk or opportunity.
And to be honest, when it comes to macro and asset allocation, 80% of it is perhaps 1 or 2 major things per year. We help by identifying those things, as well as tracking them through their logical progression. The quality is there, the insights are solid, the question is what are you going to do about it?
