Can you believe it? Half way through the year already!
It seems like only yesterday that global markets plunged into pandemic panic, central banks made history, and global lockdowns changed the way we do just about everything. It makes me pause to reflect as we wrap-up the first half of the year, and another quarter. I should actually take the time to write a blog reflecting on the past year or so, but for now I just wanted to point out a few things for free subscribers of the Topdown Charts Substack service.
Quarterly Strategy Pack
This is a busy week for me! I’m writing my monthly + quarterly reports for clients of the institutional service. It’s a lot of work, reviewing and updating (and verifying) a lot of charts and data… but I really value this process as it is a good opportunity to go deep into the core issues in global macro and asset allocation, and check my thinking.
But what I wanted to highlight is that I have made the Quarterly Strategy Pack (click for more details) available to premium members of the Topdown Charts Substack. The quarterly pack provides what I believe to be the key themes, risks, and ideas with respect to the global macro/market outlook. Aside from the pack, subscribers can also join the zoom calls where I will go through the pack and perhaps more interestingly: host a Q&A session. So if that sounds interesting be sure to subscribe to the “Add Quarterly Pack“ option so you can get the Q3 pack next week.
Podcasts
Some podcasts I recorded recently which you might find interesting...
Edelweiss Infinity - Calm Allocators Series
This was a relatively short (30mins) but wide ranging interview, where I covered off my core global views, the impact of the Fed policy shift, and favorite asset classes.
Global Policy Pivot and the Wake Up Call to Markets
This interview had me focusing on my assertion that central banks are moving from suppressors of volatility to sources of volatility: I outlined what I mean by that statement and the implications for asset allocation.

NOTE: I am still building out the resources section, so if there is anything I haven’t covered off that you’d like to see more details/explanation or clarification on then definitely let me know in the comments.
Otherwise, I hope to see you upgrade to paying subscriber :-)
